Stanchfield Township is located in the North East corner of Isanti County. As the smallest unit of State Government we are responsible for the roads, ditches, rights of way that border them, bridges, as well as the fire protection of the township residents. The Township Hall is located on County Road 3 east of Highway 65 at 3441 389th Avenue NE, Stanchfield, MN 55080.
Township meetings are open to the public. They are held at the township hall on the first Thursday of the month beginning at 7 p.m and ending when the business is finished. The annual meeting is by statute held on the second Tuesday of March unless inclement weather forces its rescheduling. It is at this meeting that the public voice is heard on all matters including the township tax levy. Changes in the regular meeting date and Special meetings are scheduled as necessary at the discretion of the town board of supervisors. All official notices are published in the Isanti County News and on the posting board located in front of the Township Hall.
Our township officers are elected on the November ballot in even years unless a special election is needed. Terms of office are: Supervisors are a 6 year term, Clerk and Treasurer are 4 year terms,
