NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Stanchfield Town Board will hold a public hearing at the Stanchfield Township Hall at 3441 389th Ave NE, Stanchfield MN, 55080, at 7:00 p.m. on October 1, 2026, to consider the vacation of the public road right‑of‑way and permanent easement for ingress and egress, utilities, and public roadway purposes for the portion of 379th Avenue NE described as follows:
Part of 379th Avenue NE that passes over the BNSF railroad bridge, beginning at the farthest east location on the cul‑de‑sac and its barriers on the west side of the bridge and ending at the farthest west location on the cul‑de‑sac and its barriers on the east side of the bridge. This includes the bridge owned by BNSF Railway up to the barriers to be built at the ends of the cul‑de‑sacs.
If the above described portion of road is vacated, affected landowners are entitled to judicial review of damages, need, and purpose under subdivision 7 of Minn. Stat. § 164.07 following a determination to establish or alter a road.
A public road inspection will occur at the road segment described herein at 6:30 p.m. on October 1, 2026.
